Epoxy resin and hardener for heavy anticorrosive powder coating |
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This resin is a kind of phenol novolac type epoxy resin, which has good anticorrosive powder and heat-resistance. The hardener is consists of macromolecular polymer capped with hydroxyl group and catalyst, which has excellent flexibility and higher reactivity. The heavy anticorrosive powder coatings made from these resin and hardener can be used in various anticorrosive painting such as petrol, natural gas pipes, pollution water pipes, steel rod used in building engineering etc. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

A polymer
melt mixing head, preheated to 130.degree. C. Was charged with a mixture
of epoxy resin, hardener, leveling agent, benzoin, filler and pigment,
and subsequently premixed. The resulting mixture is then extruded in a
double screw extruder, the temperature in the center of the extrusion
chamber being from 100℃-110℃. The extrudate is cooled rapidly to
room temperature and comminuted using a precutting mill. The resulting
mixture is ground in an impact mill to give a powder having an average
particle diameter of from 30-40μm, and is screened through a sieve
having a pore size of 125 μm. The powder
coatings prepared as above are applied electrostatically to degreased
steel panels or pipes. After the application the panels or pipes are
stoved for 3 minutes at 200℃. The stoved coating films have a film
thickness of from 300 to 400μm. They are notable in particular for
their high flexibility with a high degree of hardness (pencil hardness:
3H-5H,espicily in anticorrosive power.). |

Packing: 25 KGs inside lining-plastics paper bag packing. Storage: The epoxy resin and hardener can be Stored and transported as the no dangerous goods, it was better stored in the original packing inside at 2-40 ℃, placed in the cool and well ventilated place, isolated the fire sources, kept off the hot resource, avoided the direct irradiation of sunlight. Commonly, the product storage period is one year. After the period, it still can be used if the examination is qualified. |
